China-based Belgian designer Joeri Reynaert entered the industry as an internal designer for well-known European brands such as Italy's Foscarini and Belgium's Extremes. As an independent designer, he presented his first collection at the 2012 Salone del Mobile Milano in Italy. In the same year, he moved to China and established a successful design studio in Shanghai for Dirk Wynants. Based on this position, he established a four-year undergraduate program at Detao Master's College, which also set an example for raising the standard of product design education in China.
In 2018, Joeri Reynaert founded his own studio, JRS, and has worked on design collaborations for startups and established brands in China.
In terms of design, Joeri get inspiration from various cultures and changing social environments, and insists on integrating them rather than blindly following market trends, thus forming a basic style with a keen eye for detail, and resulting in a modern and timeless design.
